D & H Weigh Tape
Dodson Horrell Weigh Tape. The numbers of horses and ponies in the United Kingdom classed as overweight or obese are ever-increasing. Horses and ponies carrying excess weight are at increased risk of medical conditions such as laminitis, and so we all have a responsibility to ensure that our horses stay at a healthy bodyweight. We recommend that you monitor your horse's weight on a fortnightly basis - it is often difficult to notice changes when you see your horse everyday. Ideally weigh your horse using a weigh bridge for a more accurate measurement, however when his is not possible you can use one of our Dodson and Horrell weigh-tapes. Our tapes have been scientifically formulated on research and can be trusted to be a consistent alternative to using a weighbridge.How to use D and H weigh-tape:Make sure that your horse is standing square.Use the pony side for those 14.2hh and under and the horse side for those above 14.2hh.Hold the blue block in one hand and pass the rest of the tape over the lowest point
Ordering & Payment
All goods must be paid for in full before we can send them on their way to you.

Some items can’t be cancelled once they’re in production, including:
- Embroidered or personalised goods
- Made-to-measure items
- Custom colours or special-order products (such as certain riding boots or specialist bits)
All prices are in Pounds Sterling (GBP).
Please note: product colours shown online may vary slightly depending on your screen. If you’re unsure about a colour, feel free to get in touch before ordering.
Delivery
We aim to get your order to you as quickly as possible. Estimated delivery times and shipping costs are shown at checkout.
UK Mainland
We usually deliver stock items promptly. Some areas (like the Scottish Highlands) may have slightly higher delivery costs or longer delivery times, which will be shown before you complete your purchase.
UK Offshore (Including Northern Ireland)
We aim to deliver within 2–3 working days, depending on your postcode and courier availability.
Europe & Worldwide
We ship worldwide! Delivery times and costs vary depending on your location and order size. Europe and the USA generally take around 5 working days.
Duties & Customs
If you’re ordering from outside the UK, please note:
- You’re responsible for any import duties, VAT, or customs charges in your country.
- These fees aren’t included in your order total, and we can’t estimate them in advance.
- The courier will usually contact you to arrange payment before delivery.
If customs charges aren’t paid and the parcel is returned or destroyed, we can’t refund shipping or replacement costs — so please check your local import rules first.
Cancelling Your Order
If you’re shopping as a consumer, you have the right to cancel all or part of your order under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
You can cancel up to 14 days after receiving your order — as long as the goods are unused and in perfect condition.
Please note that the following items **cannot** be cancelled or returned once processed:
- Embroidered or personalised goods
- Made-to-measure or made-to-order items
- Custom colour products
- Specialist bits, boots, or hats not held in stock
Returns and Refund
We want you to love your purchase! But if something’s not quite right, you can return or exchange items within 14 days of receiving your order. We must receive the returned goods within 30 days of you notifying us.
Please make sure all returns are:
- In perfect, unused condition
- In original packaging, with your receipt or invoice
- Sent with a note including your name, order number, and reason for return

We’ll process your refund or exchange within 14 days of receiving your return (or proof of posting). Refunds are made via your original payment method.
Please note:
- Embroidered, made-to-measure, or special-order items can’t be returned unless faulty.
- Synthetic horse bits can’t be refunded if damaged by chewing.
- You’re responsible for return postage unless the item is faulty — we recommend getting proof of postage.
- All items must be clean. Anything too soiled to handle will be returned to you.
- Exchanges will incur a postage fee for the new item.
If returning from outside the UK, please mark your parcel clearly as a “Return” to avoid customs fees.
